Superior Heartland a Backwoods History is a two volume hardcover set. Considered the most complete chronicle of the history of the Central Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Superior Heartland was first printed in 1989 and is in its seventh printing. It is organized into four books with more than 1500 pages and 1300 historic photos, maps and illustrations.
